Editorial policy

Veliorok is an independent reference to eighteen hotels grouped in four categories. Every entry follows the same four headings in the same order, so that two houses can be read against each other without an argument being made for either. Nothing on the site is paid for, and no hotel has any say in what appears here.

How the hotels were chosen

The list was fixed before any text was written, with four ice, six art, four capsule and four casino hotels. Each one had to be a real, operating house with enough published material to describe it plainly. Nothing was added later to fill a gap, and nothing was moved between categories.

Where the information comes from

Entries rest on public sources: the operator’s own site, mapping services, tourist board listings and published reporting. Where a claim could not be confirmed, the sentence was rewritten so that it stands without the claim. Where a house is one address of a chain, or a separate site of an operator, the entry says so directly.

What is not here

There are no prices, star classifications, room counts, ratings or reviews, and no booking buttons or affiliate links. There is no description of gaming floors, games or gaming equipment anywhere on the site. Weather, availability and access are not promised, because none of them can be.

Updates and corrections

The check line at the foot of each entry carries the month and year the text was last read against its sources. When a hotel changes something the entry describes, the entry is rewritten and that line moves forward. If you find something wrong, write to us through the contact page and say which entry it concerns.
